Corn maze set for October at Botanic Gardens at Burden

The LSU AgCenter will present the Corn Maze at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden in Baton Rouge on Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Participants may purchase tickets for two-hour sessions at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

Fall 2020 Super Plants are Louisiana natives

2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Louisiana Super Plants program. This year we celebrate by adding two true native woody plants: American beautyberry and our state tree, bald cypress.

State Dept. of Veterans Affairs to hold suicide prevention summit

The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs will host its Third Annual Suicide Prevention Summit virtually at 9 a.m. Friday. “As a veteran, I know that we must never give up in our efforts to prevent suicide among veterans and military service members alike,” said Gov. John Bell Edwards.
