Steven "Coz" Mark Fontenot

On July 11, 2020 Steven “Coz” Mark Fontenot left this world to join his friends and family in Heaven. Coz was a true Cajun. His life was dedicated to the Cajun culture, as well as the preservation of French Cajun music. He formed a group called Coz Fontenot and the Metro Playboys.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. July 10 India Nicole Mayne, 25, 300 block of Bradley, Eunice. Probation violation, hold. Marlene Cortina, 57, 1800 block of Veterans Memorial Highway, Eunice. Possession of Schedule IV CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Grab & Go meals for kids through Aug. 5 Restoring God’s Glory Ministries is part of the summer feeding program for kids. Lunches will be available through Aug. 5. There will be a cooked lunch and snacks served daily from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Jimmy Dale Mosbroker Sr.

Jimmy Dale Mosbroker, Sr. passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the age of 68. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Basile Baptist Cemetery.

Lisa Fontenot Thibodeaux

Lisa Fontenot Thibodeaux, 54, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 pending 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Fr. Sal Istre will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
