Home care learning support expanded for young children

The Louisiana Department of Education today announced it has expanded its at-home care and learning supports for families who are home with young children as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.

Eunice Post Office reopens

Gwen Johnson leaves the Eunice Post Office on Tuesday. The building opened its doors Friday after being closed since September 2019. For the past seven months, a portable post office building was used. Post office box customers are asked to use their old key to retrieve their mail.

Food giveaway

Second Harvest provided free food at the Word Ministries Church parking lot from noon until 3:30 p.m. Monday. Vehicles began arriving as early as 8:15 a.m. according to Germaine Simpson, a Eunice alderwoman. “The food arrived at Word Ministries Church parking lot by 8:15 a.m.
