Armed robbery at Game Stop, burglary at Double Action

An armed robbery at Game Stop and a burglary at Double Action bookended a weekend marked by shopliftings at Walmart Eunice. At about 9:30 p.m. Friday, a black male armed with a semi-automatic pistol robbed the Game Stop near Walmart, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.

Nolan Joseph Fontenot, age 86, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at his home in Westlake with his loving wife by his side. Nolan was born on November 15, 1933 in Iota, Louisiana and grew up in Eunice. Nolan graduated from Eunice High School in 1953.
