The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. November 19 Saleh Khalid Sanad, 23, 12000 block of Coursey Boulevard, Baton Rouge. Possession of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, speeding. Arrested by Port Barre Police Department.

Miracle Rung was born and called home to be an angel on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. No Services have been planned at this time.

Update: Birotte, attempted murder suspect, turns himself in

Update: Timothy Birotte has turned himself in to Opelousas Police, authorities say. Birotte has been booked on charges attempted second degree murder, domestic abuse battery, flight from an officer, and aggravated assault. He is being booked in the St. Landry Parish Jail.

EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of Blaine Guillory announces his passing on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Acadian Medical Center at the age of 64.

Mariam Germaine Simien Elliott

Mariam Germaine Simien Elliott passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 60. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet with Father Gregory Simien officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
