The following is an arrest by Eunice Police. September 4 Dustin Edwards, 24, 1600 block of Hundley Road, Eunice. Simple criminal damage to property and simple assault. Bryan K. Oncale, 56, 200 block of Mill Street, Eunice. Monetary instrument abuse.

Cecil James Doucet passed away on Wednesday, September, 4, 2019 at the age of 59. No Services have been planned at this time.

Mt. Olive Cemetery volunteers needed Families of the Mount Olive Cemetery, located at 1199 E. Ardoin (on Old Crowley Road), are in dire need of volunteers for lawn maintenance, grass mowing, and up keep of the cemetery. It is a public cemetery, established many years ago.

Public safety tax to start in October

A 0.25% tax to fund public safety pay raises is scheduled to begin in October and is projected to generate at least $500,000 a year. The tax passed with 78% of the vote on May 4 in the election that drew 6,308 votes.
