Mt. Olive Cemetery volunteers needed Families of the Mount Olive Cemetery, located at 1199 E. Ardoin (on Old Crowley Road), are in dire need of volunteers for lawn maintenance, grass mowing, and up keep of the cemetery. It is a public cemetery, established many years ago.

Shrimp and Petroleum Fest begins today in Morgan City

Louisiana’s oldest chartered harvest festival is scheduled to celebrate 84 years of tradition and family fun this upcoming Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 29 to Monday, in downtown Morgan City. Most festivities are held within the Downtown Historic District and are free to the general public.
