Summer sounded better in the ‘70s. I woke every morning to the birds chirping outside my window screen, a dewy chill in the air. I’d smell my father’s pipe, which he smoked while he read the paper downstairs. I’d go down to greet him.

Two arrested on armed robbery, weapons charges following incident

Two men have been arrested on armed robbery and weapons charges after allegedly robbing another man who the suspects lured to location under the pretense of making a music video for which the victim would be paid. Kentrell James Guillory, 18, of Arnaudville, and Condrick Lewis Jr.

$110M investment in legacy Acadia oil refinery

ACADIA PARISH–Green Fuels Operating PC (GFO) formally announced late last week it will invest $110 million to transform the historic Evangeline Processing Facility in Acadia Parish into a Net Zero Emissions Technology (NZET) refinery.
