Two suspects wanted for armed robbery arrested and booked

Douglas Charles Thorton, 19, of Baton Rouge, and Marlon Keith Brown, 18, of Alexandria, were arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Correctional Center on May 26 for armed robbery. According to Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef, they both turned themselves in without incident.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Richard Demetrio Alagad on May 26, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette. He was just 46 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Linda Pauline Keydash Cart, 74, passed away on May 23, 2025. Linda was born in Baltimore, MD. She was the daughter of Melvin J. and Mary Paruszeski Keydash.

One suspect wanted for armed robbery; second suspect cleared

There were two felony arrest warrants for armed robbery issued, one, for Marlon Keith Brown, 18, of Alexandria, and the other, Douglas Thorton, 19, of Baton Rouge. The early morning robbery occurred on Saturday, May 17.
