Resolution targeting economic district tabled

A resolution requiring parish or municipality approval of projects that negatively affect local taxes was tabled by the St. Landry Parish Council. Parish President Jessie Bellard requested the Council table the resolution that was going to ask the Legislature to amend the powers of the St.

West honored with Rotary award

Maxine West is the winner of the Eunice Rotary Club’s Administrative Professional of the Year Award for 2025. West was presented the award at a luncheon Wednesday at the LSU Eunice Mumphrey Center. It was the club’s 35th annual Administrative Professionals’ Day.
