A crop duster flown by Robert Lejeune of Basile drops water on Nick’s on 2nd at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25. Eunice firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 11:53 a.m. Saturday. According to Fire Chief Chaise Brown on Tuesday a cause for the fire had not been established. There were no injuries reported from the fire. Looking back on our 2024

The just passed year of 2024 in Eunice included the demolition of the old Moosa Memorial Hospital, the election of a hometown politician to one of the highest offices in the state and a Saturday fire that left a scar on downtown.
