The following are excerpts from the Eunice Police Department radio dispatch logs. Tuesday, Nov. 26 7:49 a.m. 911 caller said a subject in a pick up truck almost ran her off of the roadway multiple times. Subject turned from Hwy. 190 onto South Bobcat. 10:05 a.m.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lillian D. Sonnier, lovingly known as Lala, who left us on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the age of 70. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Funeral Service that will be held at 12 p.m.

Terrell “Tootie” Guillory

Terrell “Tootie” Guillory, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the age of sixty. Tootie was born on September 15, 1964 in Eunice, son of the late Francis Roger and Juanita (Bertrand) Guillory.

Early voting continues on Monday Early voting for the Dec. 7 election continues through Nov 30, excluding Thanksgiving and Nov. 29, which is observed as Acadian Day, according to Byron Stelly, St. Landry Parish registrar of voters. Voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
