Well here they go again. Political extremists who work behind the scenes in both national political parties have dusted off their old playbook by attacking the military record of both vice presidential candidates. Such attacks even have a name. It’s called “Swift boating.

City may buy 2 key properties

In a quiet but consequential meeting, the Eunice Board of Aldermen approved the purchase of two properties that may become landmarks. Mayor Scott Fontenot’s proposals are for the city to buy a 10 acre site on West Ash Avenue north of of the Walking Park for $75,000.

Parish sales tax collections continued to rise in July
