Festivals Acadiens et Créoles 50th anniversary celebration music schedule released

Festivals Acadiens et Créoles announced the music lineup for the 50th annual three-day free Cajun and Zydeco music festival, which will take place Oct. 11 and Oct. 13 at Girard Park in Lafayette.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said Monday she will ask a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit parents have brought to stop a new state law that requires the Ten Commandments to be posted in every public school classroom.
