Pictures taken on Sunday at 11 a.m. shows the aftermath of a major fire that destroyed Nick’s on 2nd. The family owned restaurant for many years in downtown Eunice caught fire Saturday. Eunice firefighters and many other area firefighters fought several hours on putting out the fire.

A fire started earlier before lunch-time Saturday at Nick's on 2nd, a long-time restaurant, and as of 2:42 p.m. firefighters are still on the scene fighting the blaze to put out the entirety of the fire.

BBQ Fest band lineup announced

St. Landry Parish Government has announced the band lineup for St. Landry BBQ Fest on June 7- 9 at the Yambilee Grounds and Ag Arena in Opelousas. The BBQ Fest includes a variety of arts and crafts vendors, a carnival with rides, plus food and drink vendor.
