June 25 field day to showcase AgCenter rice research

The LSU AgCenter H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station will open its doors to visitors June 25 for its 115th annual field day, where research projects aimed at developing new rice varieties, managing pests and improving other aspects of production will be showcased.

Eunice Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead and a juvenile female wounded, according to Police Chief Kyle LeBouef. Police responded to the 1000 block of West Ash Avenue at 9:29 p.m. Tuesday to a report of two people having been shot while inside a residence.
