Yes, I was hunkered down paying rapt attention to the weather report on May 8 when an EF-3 tornado rampaged through a neighboring county. Understandably, I was intrigued by a May 11 “New York Post” article about a technological push to manipulate the weather.

Chief Petty Officer Jeremiah Miller, a native of Eunice, Louisiana, serves at the U.S. Navy Medical Readiness Training Command hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. Miller graduated from Eunice High School in 2007.

Downtown targeted for planning exercise

A team of nationally-recognized professionals will conduct a three-day planning exercise called a “Downtown Roadmap” for the City of Eunice. The exercise is funded by a grant from the Louisiana Legislature to the City of Eunice for the revitalization of downtown Eunice.
