Fugitive nabbed in Eunice

Eunice Police received multiple tips at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday that Theobegi Levier, 30, Eunice, who had several felony warrants out for his arrest, was at a private residence on Alexandre Street. According to Police Chief Kyle LeBouef, Levier is known to be armed and dangerous.

Krotz Springs woman guilty of killing ex-husband

A St. Landry Parish jury convicted a Krotz Springs woman of second-degree murder of her ex-husband, John Barker, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre. Margaret Yvette Barker, 52, shot her ex- husband five times.
