Acadiana legislative delegation elects officers

BATON ROUGE – The Acadiana Delegation of the Louisiana Legislature has elected its officers for 2024. State Representative Beau Beaullieu will serve as chairman and represents House District 48 including Iberia, Lafayette, and St. Martin parishes.

Parish Council to study training for those it appoints

The St. Landry Parish Council decided more work is needed on an ordinance requiring legal and financial training for those people it appoints to boards and commissions.

Belly Buddies Color Fun Run set April 13 There will be a Belly Buddies Color Fun Run in downtown Eunice from 10 a.m. until noon on April 13. All proceeds will go to Belly Buddies, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide food to Eunice’s most vulnerable students.
