St. Landry Parish Sheriff Concealed Carry class set Saturday The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a 1-day concealed carry permit training class on Saturday at 211 West Park in Eunice. The class will begin at 7:30 a.m. The course is $100 lars and $80 for a spouse or renewal.

Acadia Parish superintendent’s contract extension denied

After a nearly 30-minute executive session, members of the Acadia Parish School Board Tuesday night failed to pass a motion to extend the superintendent’s contract. The vote was 4-4, resulting in a “no action,” according to legal counsel Jon Guice.
