Officer-involved shooting in Eunice ended a 58—minute pursuit

A suspect wanted on a felony warrant in Carencro fled multiple law enforcement pursuers from Lafayette Parish to dead end James Place off Perchville Road south of Eunice on May 19. Louisiana State Police released details of the incident involving Eunice Police officers firing on the suspect.

Diseases on the rise in Louisiana vegetables

Vegetable growers all over Louisiana are facing Southern bacterial wilt and bacterial spot in tomatoes and pepper production. LSU AgCenter plant doctor Raj Singh said Southern bacterial wilt is caused by the soil-borne bacterium, Ralstonia solanacearum.
