Memorial Day ceremony set Monday A Memorial Day ceremony sponsored by the VFW Post 8971, the American Legion Post 129 and the DAV Chapter 19 will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South 2nd Street and Park Avenue, Eunice. Boy Scout Troop 425 will perform a flag raising ceremony.

Tri-Parish LSU graduates announced

LSU awarded 4,514 degrees to graduates at the university’s 310th commencement exercises on May 19 and 20. The spring graduating class represents 58 Louisiana parishes, 49 states and 63 countries. Women comprise 59.11 percent of the class, and men comprise 40.89 percent.
