Concealed Carry Permit class set Saturday The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a one day concealed carry permit training class beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 211 West Park, in Eunice The course is $100 and $80 for a spouse or renewal.

As Mother’s Day approaches, many of us begin to reflect on the important role our mothers and grandmothers have played in our lives. For some, this may involve memories of spending time in nature with our mothers, perhaps picking flowers or tending to a garden together.

Crowley council OKs police pay raise

The Crowley City Council voted unanimously, with one absent, Wednesday night to raise the starting pay of an entry-level police officer by $10,000 a year, to $42,000 annually, effective in June.
