Information sought about home burglaries in Roberts Cove

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred in the Roberts Cove Community, north of Crowley. Both occurred during daytime hours on Sept. 28.

Kyiv City Ballet to perform Oct. 23 at Heymann Center

The Kyiv City Ballet, with 35 extraordinary dancers, will make its first-ever tour of the United States this fall and the magnificent company will be on stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette.

Trash pickup change turns into chaos

The change in trash pickup service from Waste Connections to Bayou State Waste was chaotic last week. Bayou State’s light blue cans and Progressive’s dark blue cans dotted roadsides. Trash pickup service was reported delayed across the parish. Schedules were running a day behind in many areas.

Eunice Police deal with shootings

A Eunice man was shot in the butt in an incident off Mayers Street near an apartment complex, said Police Chief Randy Fontenot. No arrest has been made in the Wednesday shooting, he said. The adult victim was driven to the hospital by a family member.
