EUNICE – On Monday, August 22, 2022, Rhonda Fuselier, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 59 years. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 7 p.m.

Lubert Doucet

Lubert Doucet passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 74. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Early morning shooting leaves one injured

A shooting that occurred early Monday morning injured a 17 year old subject. According to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, "At 5:40 a.m. this morning police responded to a shooting at the intersection of 13th Street and Eddie Street. There were 15 shots fired at the home.

2-vehicle crash kills Ville Platte man

A two-vehicle crash on La. 3042 near Theophile Road in Evangeline Parish at bout 2:30 a.m. Aug.20 claimed the life of 22-year-old Lionel Gabe Bangs of Ville Platte, according to a  Louisiana State Police Troop I news release.
