Shooting reports reappear

Reports of shootings on Eunice streets have returned. That’s the bad news. The good news is there have been no reports of anyone being wounded or worse, and there are reports of property damage, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

Legislators make history in congressional map veto override

Both chambers of the Legislature voted to override Gov. John Bel Edwards’ veto of congressional maps that did not include a second majority Black district. The vote was mostly along party lines.

What is a woman is really a serious question 

I’m glad there’s widespread confusion about what a woman is. I’ve been confused my entire life. In the most basic sense, the difference between a male and a female is that a female has two X chromosomes and a male has an X and a Y chromosome — or, in my experience, a “WHY” chromosome?
