There’s a lot of wrangling, wheeling and dealing going on down at the state capital in Baton Rouge. State legislators are presently meeting in a special session to redraw the districts they represent. Such action is required to take place every 10 years under federal law.

Little change in Eunice election districts in remap

There is little change in the four wards that serve as election districts for the Board of Aldermen in Eunice in a plan adopted Tuesday. Demographer Mike Hefner, of Geographic Planning & Demographic Services, said the districts approved in 2010 held up “quite well.
