Gerard “Jerry” Albertelli, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile with Father Keenan Brown celebrant. Rite of Committal will be held at 11 a.m.

Concealed carry class on Saturday

2 drivers killed in head-on crash in Vermilion Parish

A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 167 near Lurby Road in Vermilion Parish claimed the life of 18-year-old Ramsie Baumgardner of Maurice and 31-year-old Brandon Isaac of Carencro, according to a Louisiana State Police Troop I news release.
