St Landry Sheriff to offer concealed permit training class this weekend

The St Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting a one-day concealed carry permit training class at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice. The course is $100 and $80 for a spouse or renewal.

Police chasing reports of gunshots, uncooperative suspects, victims

When asked about shots fired on Friday and Saturday, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot described a familiar problem of uncooperative suspects and victims. The first incident involved someone reporting a threat coming from a subject in a gray car at 12:39 a.m. Friday.
