2 arrested in domestic incident, man cut with knife; she says it was self-defense

A man and woman were arrested after a domestic incident in which the man was cut with a knife. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said both had protective orders against each other and it was not the first time she used a knife on him. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of West Peach.

Eunice street tax vote passes overwhelmingly

Only about 5% of the eligible voters cast ballots in Saturday’s election, but 79% of them approved a 5-mill, 10-year property tax for street maintenance. Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said, “I’m very thankful with the results of the election.
