A 32-year-old Eunice man, Clifton J. Johnson, has been arrested for molesting a 7-year-old girl, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
Johnson, of the 700 block of Lewis street, is accused of assaulting the girl on two separate occasions.
“The investigation revealed that Johnson is not related to the child and that after Johnson molested the juvenile he then tried to discard evidence at the scene,” Guidroz stated.
The complaint was received on Nov. 17.
“This is a tragic case and parents should talk to their kids about any inappropriate actions being done to them and report it immediately to authorities,” Guidroz said.
Johnson’s bail was set at $25,000 and is on a probation hold
