Feucht named interim principal at St. Edmund

Joe Feucht is the new interim principal at St. Edmund Catholic School. Feucht started his post on May 15.
Feucht is a native of Mamou, and a graduate of Mamou High School. He attended LSU Eunice, McNeese State University, the University of Georgia, Athens, Cal State-Hayward. Feucht earned a masters+30 in educational leadership, certified classroom teacher. He served as principal and school administrator.
Feucht worked 26 years for Calcasieu Parish School Board in various administrative positions.
He was also known as a former business owner, bank employee, and a restaurant manager.
Feucht is the father of three children, and six grandchildren. He is of the Roman Catholic faith. He moved to Eunice in June of last year, and is a registered parishioner of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus 10428 and currently serves as three-year-trustee.
Feucht says he enjoys teaching, and “serving our Lord.” Feucht’s favorite saying is, “If you expect a child to behave like a child, you will never be disappointed.”
He added, “Yesterday is a cancelled check, tomorrow is a promissory note and only today is legal tender.”
