St. Landry Crime Stoppers and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating two witnesses in the murder case of Dale Lafleur.
According to St. Landry Crime Stoppers and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office:
On or about July 13, 2011 two citizens came into contact with Phillip Lafleur on the day he killed and hid the body of Dale Lafleur. The first contact was with a white male driving a dark blue Chevy who stopped on or near Bayou Road in the Port Barre area to see if the Phillip and Dale Lafleur needed help. Phillip Lafleur told the driver that they were okay and he drove off. Phillip had already attacked Dale Lafleur but he was still alive at this point.
Later the second contact was made with an older white male who was bald with no beard and was driving a white single cab Chevy pick-up that had a deer or some kind of animal in the bed of the truck. The driver noticed Phillip walking on the levee across the bridge from Krotz Springs and gave Phillip a ride to McDonald’s in Port Barre. Phillip had just pushed the Dale’s blue Miata into the river.
These two witnesses are not suspects in the case. Call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-948-6516.
