Coutee’s Grocery had two young young boys visit Nov. 11 and they were on a mission. Alex Ned, 12, and Braxton Dietrich, 11, asked permission to pick up trash in the parking lot of the store. Both boys are students at Central Middle School and walk to school and claim they see alot of trash everyday. Their wish as they both said was, “to help keep Eunice clean.” The two friends gave up their Saturday morning to pick up litter along side the street and at Coutee’s Grocery. Coutee’s owners and managers are Joe Coutee and Ricky Coutee. The Coutees’ have been in business for 50-plus years and the store is located next door to Central Middle at 610 S. MLK Drive. The Coutees said, “Even if it’s just for today, these two little fellas just made my heart full. Two thoughtful guys who chose to work this morning on their own. They came up with the idea themselves.” Pictured at the store’s counter are Ned, left, and Dietrich. (Submitted Photo)
