EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gabriel Savoy Coker announces her passing on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Rayne Guest Home at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 08, 2018 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Gabriel was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to garden flowers, read and dance. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her four children, Keith Coker and wife, Isabelle of Lubbock, TX, Ronnie Coker of Lafayette, Sheila Coker of Rayne, and Kevin Coker and Valerie of Lafayette; brother, James Dale Landry and wife, Glenda of Ada, OK; two sisters, Barbara Sylvester of Eunice, and Anita Ardiana and husband, Robert of Ada, OK; seven grandchildren, Tasha Domingue Wright and husband, Ted, Jimmy Coker, Nickolas Coker, Ryan Coker and wife, Brandy, Dustin Coker, Karlie Coker, and Brandon Anderson; five great grandchildren, Tori, Tanner, and Tristen Wright, Hayden and Hudson Coker, and August Levy; and extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Coker; grandparents, Lazem and Anna Fontenot Savoy and mother, Lillian Landry.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, February 7th from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm and again on Thursday, February 8th from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
