In honor of Albert Einstein’s birthday and Pi Day on March 14, Michelle Stelly and her student teacher Ashley Newsom at Glendale Elementary encouraged their fourth grade students’ love of math with many activities throughout the day including the story of “Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi,” written by Cindy Neuschwander. Many students participated by dressing in “math themed shirts”. Some students dressed as Mr. Albert Einstein. The day concluded with a paper chain representing Pi while enjoying circular treats.
