Balfa Cajun, Creole Weeks back at Chicot Park

Le Grand Hoorah/Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week will be held at Chicot State Park through Friday.
A portion of the event is an immersion experience where people are coming to learn Cajun-Creole music, food and dance.
The event is to promote local culture and create excitement for the jewel of Evangeline Parish, Chicot State Park.

Le Grand Hoorah kicks off the beginning of The Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Week. The Louisiana Folk Roots presents the event in partnership with The Prairie Heritage Foundation.
There are daily instructional sessions.
