A 31-year-old Breaux Bridge man was found dead by Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputies investigating a crash west of Duson on Interstate 10 Sunday, according to Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
Emergency personnel responding to a wreck discovered the driver had been shot.
The driver, identified as Darrell Singleton, was pronounced dead at the scene, Gibson said.
“It is believed that this incident may have began in another parish, however shots were heard being fired near the Duson exit as the victims vehicle was traveling west bound. There are no suspects at this time,” Gibson stated in a news release.
