St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help in solving a case of vandalism.
On May 19, deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Road in Opelousas. The owner of a silver 2005 Mercedes and a blue 2003 Dodge truck reported that their windshields were vandalized.
Deputies observed a wooden stake sticking out the front windshield of the Mercedes and a shattered windshield on the Dodge truck. A witness reported seeing the damage around 12:30 that morning. The total cost to replace both windshields was estimated at $1,400.
