Eunice Manor honors staff with awards ceremony

Eunice Manor held an awards ceremony Aug. 30 to honor and recognize its heads of departments, and staff.
Nickie Toups, administrator, presented certificates of appreciation and plaques of honor and recognition during the event.
Toups started a mentorship program and class some three years ago that gave opportunity for Manor employees to participate. The purpose of the class was to, “build leaders and value and to enhance each individual staff member,” said Toups.
Toups honored these class participants with an award, “Mentorship Award” for completion and attendance. Other awards given by Toups included Most Improved, Most Willing To Help, Most Self Taught, Most Ambitious, Most Self Motivated, 40 years of Service, and Service Award.
Those receiving Mentorship awards were department heads Saundra Frey, RN, Betty Gore, LPN, Myra Johnson, LPN, Christauna Jackson, LPN, Lauren Lirette, LPN, Tricia Fontenot, LPN, Jackie Bellard, LPN, Gerry Butler, LPN, Brittany Vidrine, speech therapist; Emily Deshotel, Judy Fontenot, Kami Deville, Felicia Lavergne, social services therapist; Becky Daigle, Nancy Dabbs, Dwayne Reese, Larry Darby, Rita Thomas, Kristy Bellard, Joanna Guillory, Nancy Alfred, Roxanne Guillory, Darlene Arceneaux, Ebony Durgin, all CNAs; Kaylier Soileau, Brittany Porter, Nickie Senegal, Kathleen Fontenot, Peggy Chapman, Alverta Savoy, all Dietary; Betty Rosette, Ashley Daigle, Audrey Arvie, Christina Malveaux, Laura Edwards, Veranna Rideaux, Marcella Richardson, Jamie Vidrine, Louise Fontenot, Sandra Frank, Angela Ducote, Mary Janice, Patsy Williams and Danielle Lonnett, Laundry and Housekeeping.
Most Improved award went to Danielle Lonnet, Ebony Durgin, Betty Rosette, Roxanne Guillory and Nikki Senegal.
Most Willing To Help award went to Lasette Mayo.
Most Self Taught award went to Nancy Dabbs.
Most Ambitious award went to Brittany Matthews.
Most Self Motivated award went to Gerry Butler.
Betty Gore, LPN, was awarded a 40 Years of Service plaque by Toups; and the Service Award went to Saundra Frey, RN. Frey has been employed at Eunice Manor for the past 27 years. She served as director of nursing. Frey will pass the “baton” to Kimberly Bertrand, RN, and now director of nursing.
At the conclusion of the awards ceremony Eunice Manor provided refreshments for all staff members.
