At approximately 1 p.m. Monday afternoon near mile marker 88 just east of Rayne, a body was found just off Interstate 10, as reported by Rayne Police. The deceased was found by a passerby. Called to the scene were the Rayne Police Department, Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, Acadia Parish Coroner's office and Acadian Ambulance.
