Police: Burglar took the camera, but still appeared in the video

A Park Avenue burglar stole the video surveillance camera, but still ended up on a video that was viewed on social media, Eunice Detective Victor Fontenot said.
The burglary occurred in the 1900 block of Park Avenue on Feb. 5 and haul of property out of the residence was substantial, Fontenot said.
Police have recovered most of the stolen property that included a 55” flat-screen television, Sony Playstation 4, 3D glasses, a car audio amplifier, socket set and three sets of vehicle keys, he said.
Still missing are guns taken from the residence, he said.
Police initially believed the person caught on the video inside the residence was Nicklaus Boone, but it turned out to be the brother, Madison Boone, Fontenot said. Nicklaus Boone was waiting in a vehicle outside, he said.
Madison Boone, 42, of the 100 block of Magnolia Street,Eunice, has been charged with simple burglary.
Nicklaus Brad Boone, 40, 300 block of Benoit, Eunice, has been charged with principle to simple burglary.
Both were arrested on Valentine’s Day.
