Eunice Manor residents enjoy St. Patrick’s Day with Such Fun group

On March 17 on St. Patrick’s Day, Eunice’s “Best Years Of Such Fun” group shared a fun program with residents at Eunice Manor. The ladies took on leprechaun personas complete with pointed ears.
The leprechauns brought Irish scarves and green top hats as gifts for the residents. They also autographed and gave each resident a personalized letter.
The first to arrive, riding in on “Pillars of Dust” were the infamous cousins “Elle O’Quint”(Elaine Deshotel ) and “Deb O’Nair” (Diane Duhon). Whereas “Jan O’Airee” (Jan Smith) and Fran, the younger sister of “Ben O’Drill”(Fran Guillory) traveled the rainbow to where it touched the ground near Eunice.
Being that leprechaun fairies aren’t very large, cousin Cecile, X-wife of “Al O’ Mooney”(Cecile Duplechain ) saddled and rode a large grasshopper through the fields to join everyone at Eunice Manor.
Knowing that owls are a supernatural creature. This particular owl had no other affairs to attend, so he gave a ride to the last cousin, “Eve O’ Lution” (Pam Koch ). The sister of “Ben O’ Drill” led the residents in a fun game called “Luck of the Irish,” while X-wife of “Al O’ Mooney” had fun with “Name That Tune,” and “Eve O’ Lution,” accompanied on the fairy keyboard. “How to catch a Leprechaun “ was demonstrated by the infamous cousins, “Elle O’Quint “and “Deb O’ Nair.”
The “Gift of Gab” was given by the “Legend of the Blarney Stone”along with gold coins from the pot of gold. “Al O ‘Mooney’s” Pub donated the beer (root) for the many Irish Toasts. “What shall we do with a drunken sailer” was the favorite drinking song that day. Irish Knock-Knock jokes were told followed by a loud clown horn, an “Aaugh” response and the pleasure of throwing Pom-poms at the jokester. Finishing the Irish Melodies, the Leprechaun fairies said their good byes along with a Irish Blessing to all.
Just remember, “if a leaf or bush moves mysteriously or lights twinkle in the night it just might be those tricky leprechauns.”
