Members of the NAUW-Eunice Branch recently attended the annual area Founders’ Day in New Iberia along with members from 10 other Branches from the surrounding area.
Area Founders’ Day was established by Dr. Ezora J. Procter when she was the national president to gather the local branches in a celebration of the National Founders’ Day instead of each branch having it’s own little celebration, the togetherness would bring about a better sisterhood. It has proven to be successful. Members look forward to it each year and going to a different site for the celebration each year. Other areas have formed their own Founders’ Day similar to this one.
Attending from Eunice Branch were Denise Antoine, Carolyn Baldwin, branch president; Lelia Adams, Philomena Bernard and Keristian Edwards.
