St. Edmund Elementary held its end of year awards program on May 24. The Claire Francois Montz awards are given to students in eighth grade who have have excelled academically in English, science, math and religion. Montz was a graduate of St. Edmund Catholic School who returned to her alma mater to teach English. In Claire’s memory, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Houston Francois rewards students for academic achievements. Ellie Manuel received the Outstanding Science Award. (Submitted photos)
