St. Edmund hosted a science fair inside the school’s gym with middle school students presenting and displaying their projects.
Students had to use the scientific process effectively by learning about hypothesis, testing their hypothesis and putting data together. The science fair showed how one can put cross-curriculum subjects together to fuse science. The students used aspects of math, science, writing, and public speaking for their projects.
Topics included Engineering Mechanics, Chemical and Physical Energy, Biomedical and Health Science, Earth and Environmental Science, Animal Science, Environmental Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Microbiology, Plant Science, Behavioral and Social Sciences, and Chemistry.
Overall, first and third place, and first place winning projects in each category will compete in the District Science Fair at Northwest High School in December.
