The Bobcats used balanced scoring each quarter Friday as Eunice earned a 51-42 non-district win over Mamou.
Treylin Cooper and Dedriv Vigers both hit treys early in the first quarter before Mamou answered with a 5-0 run.
Fred Guillory drove the lane for the Bobcats and Cooper and Vigers followed with free throws to push EHS ahead, 11-5.
After two free throws by Mamou’s Damarcus Wilson, Shilow followed with a three-point play as the Bobcats moved ahead, 14-7.
Jalon Bradley and Vigers exchanged drives in the lane late in the period as Eunice took a 16-9 lead into the second period.
Cooper and Shilow drilled back-to-back treys to begin the second frame.
The two teams exchanged buckets before Mamou went on a 6-2 run to close the first half gap to 26-17.
Mamou’s Amarion Watson drained a trey early in the third period, but the Bobcats responded with an 8-0 run sparked by four points each from Vigers and Shilow.
The Green Demons would not go away quietly as Mamou answered with a 5-0 surge to close the margin to 34-25.
Guillory scored in the lane at the buzzer to push Eunice ahead, 36-25.
The Bobcats opened the final period with a 6-3 run before Shilow and Edwards swapped treys.
Vigers added two free throws and Cooper scored on a lay-up to extend Eunice’s lead to 47-33 with 2:10 left in the game.
Mamou rallied late with a 9-2 run, including a three-point play by D. J. Papillion and bucket off a steal by Wilson to close the final gap to 51-42.
Vigers led Eunice with 18 points, while Cooper added 14 points and Shilow finished with 11 points.
Wilson chipped in nine points and Kyrian Green contributed seven points for the Green Demons.
Eunice (2-12, 0-1) travels to Rayne (15-10, 0-0) Tuesday for a District 4-4A clash.
Mamou (5-17) begins District 5-3A play at Ville Platte (14-6) on Tuesday.
