Fly-in planned at St. Landry Parish airport to feature B-17 bomber

The St. Landry Parish airport will hold it’s second annual Summer Fly-in featuring a World War II B-17 bomber along with other vintage war-birds to Opelousas.
They fly-in is scheduled June 26 to 28.
Airport Manager David Allen said, “It’s not every day that a plane of this size and this fame comes to our airport. This fly-in will be a family event with activities for kids, drive in or fly-in we want everyone to come enjoy the airport and see these incredible aircraft.”
The airport has partnered with the Commemorative Air Force Gulf Coast wing to bring the aircraft in. Other aircraft will be on display and further details announced.

The event will feature vintage aircraft, airplane rides, airplane tours, food trucks, classic cars, RC airplanes, live music and activities for the kids.
