The Eunice Food Bank has officially moved into its new building at 2101 W. Ash behind the Department of Motor Vehicle building.
The entrance and parking are located at the west end of the building. There is also a covered walkway to the door.
Mary Ann Guillory, director of the Food Bank, thanked the community, volunteers, church members and pastors who reached out to make the move as smooth as possible.
“Our community has always been here for us, and always ready and able when we are in need. I appreciate the huge help in this endeavor,” she said.
Volunteers built and installed shelving inside the Food Bank, which was needed store food items and surplus.
The Food Bank is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
A restroom is being added to the Food Bank.
The Eunice Food Bank helps families in need and more than 300 families are served.
Volunteers are needed and Guillory said that non-perishable items are needed, toiletries, hygiene products, detergents, baby needs and diapers. Monetary donations are also accepted.
The Rev. Travis Turner is Greater Eunice Ministerial Alliance president.
