Eunice High School held a food drive on campus.
Eunice High School students each year hold a Food Fight. Mitchell Fontenot, principal, said, “This is Day One of our Eunice High School Food Fight. We have our hybrid days competing against one another, Hybrid A against Hybrid B day students.
“The hybrid day that brings in the most canned- goods will receive free dress for the rest of the 2020 school year. Pierre Martel is the sponsor of the annual Food Fight.
“Some of the food items will be donated to the Eunice Food Bank, and some will remain at school for the school’s food pantry, which was started 8 years ago in my office.
Hybrid A students brought in a total of 1,035 items and Hybrid B students collected 1,201. Both days combined, 2,241 food items were collected.
